I'm the youngest grandchild of them, and... (chuckling): Nobody else really wanted, uh, a lot of these pieces.
And I have a couple more, uh, larger pieces by him at home, as well.
APPRAISER: This is really a marvelous painting by the artist Nguyen Van Minh.
He was born in 1930 and he died in 2014.
And he was very, very prolific.
APPRAISER: He painted up until maybe ten or five years before he died.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: And always in this very abstract, thoughtful fashion, and always with this particular seal and signature.
We can date this, 'cause it says '99.
Paintings such as this, of this size and this kind of subject matter, tend to sell for about $6,000 to $9,000.
GUEST: Wow.
(chuckling): Okay.
Wow.
(laughs) It's incredible.
(laughs)
