He would've been very proud of it.
- What you gotta ask is where do you see yourself in 20 years?
- To have that memory of him, to have his eyes, those wonderful eyes, and to bring us around after the 11 years, to bring us around full circle so delicately and beautifully, and I think Ross has managed to hit every mark, every step.
What has made him this melancholy man who dies alone and has been beautifully played by Sean.
You know, Colin has always been there every step of the way even when we lost him, and Barrington, and so has dad.
You can't sort of do this job carrying the weight of these giants with you.
You have to find a way making it your own, and we have.
And then this last episode is, remember where you come from.
I often think about what's happening in those transitional years.
I suppose he just quietly gets on with a job because he doesn't have distractions, except his music, and his booze, and his crosswords.
He grows up and he accepts what he loves, and he accepts that this is his journey.
Because when you then see him again he is a sort of rather melancholy character, but there's also something of the cheekiness about him.
He's actually a bit more cheerful than the young Endeavor.
That ending absolutely reduced me to floods of tears all over again.
It's been quite a ride.
Yeah, there's been some wonderful stuff, some very sad stuff.
But my God, there's something to show for it at the end.
